The Guitar Dojo is a unique music teaching studio located in the Poudre River Arts center in Old Town, Fort Collins.


The Poudre River Arts Center is a community of local artists housed in a large facility at 402 North College Avenue in downtown Fort Collins, Colorado.  The Center includes many genres of creative work: photography, graphic design, sculpture, painting, jewelry making, metalwork, theatre and, now, MUSIC!


The Guitar Dojo is unique because of the exclusive focus on the art of the classical guitar.  Additionally, the Dojo is the only full-time Suzuki guitar studio in Northern Colorado.

The Dojo offers Suzuki guitar lessons to children ages three and up.  New for the summer of 2009:  Suzuki summer camp for kids!  The cost of this camp includes a FREE guitar for all participants.  See the “Summer Camps” page for more details on this exciting new course for children ages 4-10.


For adults interested in mastering the art of the classical guitar, group classes and private lessons are offered. 


Serving as a meeting and gathering place for classical guitarists, the Dojo is often open late for the First Friday Gallery Walk (first Friday of every month 6:00-9:00 pm).  These open houses allow the opportunity for classically-trained musicians to share their music and build community.
